In pretty much all respects, Boro has the vibe of a crazy cat lady you can't help but want to be your best friend. She manages to look as if she's out of place and part of her surroundings simultaneously. Very much the wine aunt, or maybe the makes-her-own-moonshine-in-her-bathtub aunt. Fun at parties. Weirdo.

HEIGHT

5'8", but she kind of looks taller.

BUILD

Curvy, though she tends to layer her clothes so much she could be mistaken for a misshapen pile of old, eclectic laundry with a wig on top.

HAIR

Very long, reddish brown, and it's either curly or it has the distinct appearance of being unbrushed for the last 20 years minimum. Sometimes a little bit of both. It's always down, but not because she's hiding behind it. If anything, it's usually so big it draws more attention to her.

EYES

Greyish green and piercing. Her winks (see above) are distinctly Weird™️. She sometimes wears a pair of little round glasses.

FEATURES

If her general appearance isn't striking and/or offputting enough, if you give her hands or feet a proper look, you'll see that her nails are closer to claws than anything else. Unpainted but long, curved, and filed to a sharp point. I mean, you might assume it's a manicure. They might just grow like that, who's to say.

FASHION

Boro's fashion style can be best described as what someone would wear if they chose all their outfits by walking into a wardrobe of 70s clothes saved from a dumpster with their eyes closed and putting on the first few items they touched. She dresses for comfort and layers a lot, with big coats, bold patterns, and lots of fur. She's not afraid to stand out and experiment – one look at her and you get the impression that she's having a lot of fun dressing herself. She tends towards unusual makeup too - blue lipstick, a white bar painted straight across her eyebrows, stuff like that.

VOICE

Boro's voice has a distinct rasp to it. She speaks nonchalantly and laughs very easily, swears often, and peppers slang throughout. She seems to find everything perennially amusing and could easily be accused of not taking things seriously.

ABILITIES

Boro's abilities are very nebulous and not particularly well-defined in the show, so I've done my best to categorise and describe them as I see them.

OCCULT KNOWLEDGE Boro has an intimate knowledge of the occult and what she terms the 'other side' or spirit world, including rituals to protect, hurt and curse others. She has some degree of personal control over these curses, rather than simply being able to instruct others on how to enact them – her method is to create a symbiotic bond between the person who hires her and the person they wish to curse, extracting payment however she pleases. She has a very witchy vibe; she can make potions and instruct others on how to perform rituals to get what they want.

CONSCIOUSNESS TRANSFER Boro can transfer her consciousness into the body of another person and take over, controlling the body and living in it. This transfer takes an enormous amount of energy and so is something she can only do once every few decades. Her pronoun preference seems to be to use the pronouns of the body she inhabits, so in a male body Boro would use he/him, etc. When talking about this practice, she explains that after a person's body is taken, 'They fall away, until you can almost not hear them anymore.' If Boro transfers to another body when the body she was previously occupying is still capable of sustaining itself, its original owner will regain consciousness, though with a great deal of amnesia and weakness.

IMPERVIOUSNESS Boro demonstrates the ability to be impervious to pain. She plunges her hand into a pot of boiling water for several seconds without reacting at all, but when she removes her hand from the pot, it's red and clearly burned. She does react when she's scratched on the face by a manifestation of the Mother Jaguar, so this imperviousness is limited only to injuries that aren't caused by magic means.

REANIMATION Boro can reanimate dead bodies and make them follow her around and do her bidding. They're essentially zombies, and if Boro does not consistently feed them pulverised raw meat, they fall apart. She needs multiple relevant supplies to enact the ritual to do this, and doesn't have the power to do it otherwise.

TATTOO MAGIC Very vague, but at one point Boro writes her address on Lisa's arm with a marker, and later on the address turns into a little cat tattoo. She's also seen tattooing her zombies, which is potentially just for aesthetic reasons, but I think it's nice.

THE CAT BLOOD THING Boro derives some sort of strength or power from the cats that Lisa pukes up for her, likely because of Lisa's connection to the Mother Jaguar. She drinks the cat blood. The cat does not have to be dead. Please don't ask me for any further explanation on this, I genuinely don't fucking know.

↪ Boro is a manipulator herself, and is old and canny enough to notice when someone's trying it out on her. Basically, don't bullshit a bullshitter. I'm not saying your character can't try, but it's unlikely to work all that well.
